Pics of our 19 year old coral, Steve.

My yellow fiji is my favorite coral. I hope that mine gets about a fifth the size of that thing. Absolutely unbelievable.
When I saw it, my jaw dropped as far as it could and I called my wife in to see it. I have only seen leathers approach that size in the wild, and rarely. that is just truly awesome.
Maybe it is the name. I wonder if naming my corals will inspire them to grow:)

Without a doubt, we're working on moving him and when we do I'll take and post pictures.

That is amazing! Congrats! Has it been in that same tank for 19 years?

Well done. Can't wait to see pics of the new home!

I think it's been in the same tank but I could be wrong, maybe was moved when he was much younger. Certainly not in the last 15 years.

I can't wait to see them move it to the new home, it will be facinating.

Beautiful Glaudds, how old?

We also had some offspring of Steve, two smaller ones we sold to customers.

Steve turned 19 Labor day weekend, thought you all might like to see him. (Really a her, has reproduced several times.) Seen here with his tomato clown buddy.

Steve lives in the store I work at in a 90 gal tank you can see is now much too small. We're going to move him sometime, we're just debating exactly HOW but the people I work with were born into aquarium keeping and if anyone can do it they can.
where in NJ is Steve located:), I would love to come by and take a look, I live in Staten Island, Ny.

Holy cr@p! That's HUGE! Great job, but man, it really takes over the aquarium doesn't it. I nice foxface rabbitfish will take care of that grape algae for you too.

Dan

They don't need a foxface.... Give Steve a few more year and he will be blocking out all the light:lol:
