i know that for many people half the fun is modding their all in one nanos, but is there anyone out there that just goes with the stock tanks? if so, please post your FTSs and tell me what tank it is and how old it is!
Here are some of mine (its only two weeks in ... i think..... very new)
This is a 12gallon AquaPod with compact flourescents and i just want to keep some softies and mushrooms and polyps and stuff. The only thing is that the fan has issues sometimes it just takes a tap here and there.
here is mine. It's basically a stock NC24, i removed the bio balls and ceramic rings, i still have the sponge in the first chamber but i clean it regularly and i have set up an ato but im waiting to get my aqualifter. It is my first tank and it was set up in July, started stocking in sept.
The frags on the sb have been put into place now but this is as of last week.
LOL ya that thing has probably doubled in size in like the 4-5 months I have had it. Once I get the light for the 2.5 Frag tank I am shrinking it down some and fragging it off.
question re: star polyps... i think i remember reading that they won't spread over sand... in other words, if you have them on a piece of LR that is isolated from your main aquascape they won't take over the whole tank... is that true?
This was my very first tank. A 6 gal JBJ NC. Completely stock except no bio-balls or ceramic rings. I had it up and running for almost 1 year. I gave it to a friend when I moved. I loved the way this tank looked.
I just look back over the past 8 months and look at how much it's taken of my time, but how much it's taught me responsibility. The only thing I haven't figured out was how to scrape off coraline and other stuff off the glass.
14g BioCube - work in progress. need to get more colors, but here it is:
2 perc. clowns
1 randall goby w/ pistol shrimp
2 firefish
forgspawn
xenia
feather duster
toadstool
small gbta w/ anemone crab
chili
zoas, small pallys, and other misc softies
Been up and running for about 6+ month, no major issues. Stock everything. Just added the Koralia 1 (not nano) and everything is loving the increased flow.
