PICS- Pease ID this anemone and offer advice

I'm guessing in a week or so after it has had time to acclimate to my tank and adjust, I will be able to get a couple more shots for you guys to get a better idea of what the exact species is and come to an agreement on. All I can say is that it was sold to me as a BTA.

I'm assuming lighting is adequate. What conditions (water and light) are best for this anemone. I'm working with a 75g reef.

Thanks again for all of the responses!

There is no doubt in my mind. That is H. Mag. 110%

that makes you 110% wrong :)

its a BTA and its pooping in the last picture

i have uber zoom capabilities and have been owning the IDs lately.

I am 200% sure thats a mag. I have seen mags in person, like the one I had that did not have Verracue. I have also never seen a beige with neon pink tip BTA...

Heteractis Magnifica, that's it! I had one that looked just like that. The red foot, the shape, the coloration tells it's a H.Magnifica anemone, a really nice one. I would suggest to move it closer to the lights and make sure it has a lot of flow. Be aware that it gets big! Do you have clownfishes in your tank? If you got a clownfish pair and they went directly in it, it is for sure a magnifica; clowns just can't resist to this anemone. When I had my magnifica, my clown took 5 seconds to adopt it as a host! Good luck!

I can HAZ bubble tips???

:D it kinda looks like it has bubble tips in some of the photos. I am agreeing with gsmguy... this is fun:p bubble tip:p :D and it looks like a typical bubble tip when deflated and pooping. soo..bubble tip:p

I am still sticking strongly with a mag. I have seen bubbles on LTAs, and on my older mag...

Now...we are waiting for the final vote from Phil...where is he!?!?!

Its that woot woooooot! So funny, I forgot about that gem of a newsclip....thats only in the mornin, you spose to be up cookn breakfast or somthin

Magnifica all the way, not a bta. My mags have all shown slightly or even prominent bubble tips at one time or another. That mouth is a magnifica mouth.

I also had one look exactly like that, but with a purple foot. Amazing anemones, and yes clowns love them! Funny how they just dive right into those things. If there are verracuae or whoever you say that(little dots on the foot in a line) then it is an H. Magnifica. tentacle and mouth look exactly like my old one. I wish i would have picked that one up though. Its beautifull! Im so jelouse.

What is it specifically about the mouth that makes you say that? I'm asking because I've got an unidentified nem (also purchased thinking it was a BTA) that has been tentatively id'd as a mag from pictures, and I'd love to know.
