Lots of things you could try, but I'm not sure it's going to get any better. Start soaking all of his food in vitamin supplements. And while I'm not sure antibiotics are appropriate, you might try some Nitrofuracin Green Powder. Supposedly it is good for healing wounds. Hell, even Melafix might be worth a shot in this situation.. first time I've ever recommended that product...

In the picture it looks inflamed or enlarged, would you agree with that? Possible bacterial infection?

Is it all white or is there redness? If it just looks like a lump it is probably lymphocystis.

In that case I would do a round of antibiotics to stop the infection, I've had good luck with Furan-2. Sorry, the picture is blurry and I couldn't see that right off the bat.

I would agree. Picture is not clear but this is a good option.

It probably cannot hurt. However bring up the level over a day or two rather than dose to therapeutic level of 0.4 immediately. If it is velvet, a freshwater dip will help the symptoms but not cure the parasite.

I have a freshwater dip up to temperature and ready to go also for him I just think it might be too much for him the way looks

Possibly. What we are trying to accomplish is getting oodinium out of his gills to allow better respiration. But it may be too late.

Well just got home he's dead $270 down the drain in three weeks a QT I did a freshwater dip on the dead body and it was so loaded with flukes it's unbelievable and that was after three rounds of prazi pro i am ****ed

Wow, so sorry for your loss. :(

There are some strains of flukes Prazi is not effective on. I believe you have to do formalin dips. Newsmyrna80 is who you want to talk to (to be better prepared for next time).
