Picture of the Week - SPS (small polyped stony) Corals!

Thanks guys!

Norberg, beaut of a coral. I can never keep that that dark purple color on those corals. I've gotten hold of two of those kinds of corals and they never keep that color in my tank. I think I have too much light for them, they always lighten up too much.

The best one I've been able to get good color is this one with green polyps.

fishypets, yes they are from my tank! Thanks for the help with the pics!
And as JB NY states it is very dificult to keep those coulors! You have to take the pictures the right day!

Looks like one to me, just got it 2 weeks ago. I think thats what it is...
It had blue tips when I got it and now the blue is spreading down nicely. I hope it keeps coloring up more. :)
 
Hey, maybe it's a cerealis! I have one of those, too. Unfortunately, the only photo I have is when it was looking terrible, which is why I took the photo. I did a freshwater dip on this coral (fresh, as in RO/DI dip) thinking there were flatworms. There weren't, but this is a total side track. Do a Web search, see what you come up with for Acropora Cerealis.
