Since summer is winding down, I imagine that there will be a bit more activity within the club. I thought a picture thread might be a fun way to kick things off.

Here are a few taken by Sarah and me today.

Let's keep this thread going with lots of new pics.

Brad, is your tank that blue or is that just how the pic turn out? I bought new bulbs and the pics turn out very blue.

PS, great looking color as always.

Those are awesome pictures Brad! :) I can't get anything near what you can with your camera but thought I'd contribute a pic to keep your picture thread rolling.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I am using a Canon digital Rebel. Those pics are taken with the 100mm macro lense.
The first two are staight actinic shots. My camera does really well with vho actinics but it never looks close on my tank with pc actinics. The last pic is with one Radium on over the opposite side of the tank as the coral, which gives a mix of light that my camera seems to like. All the colors are what the camera sees, with no photoshop. For every pic worth keeping I take about 100.
The first coral is a echinophyllia. The second one is my bonsai frag from Slovan, and the third is a tiny frag of a small colony that was stung to death in Dan's tank.

oh poop = they don't alow "funny characters" when postingimages .... arghh

well the pictures aren't all that exciting - but they are yellowed - need ot get some new PC bulbs not digging what I have now 13 watts actnic and 96 watts of 8800K

This clam sits on the starboard up front, in the middle of the tank. The left halide is on and the right halide is off. The high angle causes a bit of distortion for the camera, but the color is great.
