Pictures - 800 gallon reef - 7+ years in operation

I love your philosophy. Look forward to more of your wise words. Thanks for sharing, and helping me learn. I hope to have a large tank in the future.
 
I think we are all very curious as to what you do for a living. It is natural. I respect your privacy and am glad you share this with many friends and family from the looks of the room it is set up in. Just looking at it in the pictures that you have provided gives me the sence that you are a rock star, a movie star, a big lottery winner, record producer movie director,famous artist or the like. No matter what you do for a living you've got taste my friend. I'm sure all of us on here share one common thing. If we had the financial ability we would all have monsterous tanks in our homes right?I love what you did with the entry way in the way of the Lassen paintings. He is my idol as I am a beginning artist myself. Of all of the questions that have been put forth so far I would like to ask one myself. Do you have a frag you could send me? LOL Just joshing you man :) Hands down the best home reef setup I will probably see. Not trying to take anything away from Steve Weast oregonreef as his tank rocks too. But I think you have him beat hands down. Go enjoy that beauty of a reef :)

That is quite an amazing "window of ocean" you have. I hope that I will be able to accomplish something that amazing when I am done with school (FINALLY!!)

Looking at the date that he originally posted this thread (May 2004) and seeing that people are still talking about it over a year later, it shows how awesome this tank really is.
I would like to be hired as his bartender!!!

doctor? hmmm I just assumed his name was hugh hefner; to finish off my dream life, booze, fish, theatre, and finally women.

I apologize if this was asked and answered, I read the thread; but who knows.

how many lbs of live rock is in there total? is it all liverock or is the rear propped up on any sort of table to help with flow, weight, and cost?

and lastly; if you remember, where did you purchase your rock from? looks fantastic which Im sure is mostly the aquascaping; but the shapes are interesting and unique as well. really noticable in the night shots.
 
I must say, that one of my favorite parts of this tank is that it is NOT SPS dominent :lol:. I'm a softie guy and this tank is a dream!!
 
My head is spinning after flipping through all these pages drooling over the pictures. Just one question, many seemed to refer this as one awesome tank, is it really a single display tank?
