Here are some pictures I took with my wife's camera yesterday. A couple of these will be PROP auction frags. I plan to bring 13 others in addition to these 2 pictured here. JP

ARGH! Im gonna be in san diego during the next PROP.....I say we move the dates just for me =P

Amazing pieces as usual Jeff, sad I wont be there to snag a couple but there will be some very happy bidders out there regardless. Excellent photgraphy as well, not too blue or white.

Admit it Jeff. Those are all fake plastic corals that you picked up at Petco.

Great shots and beautiful corals.

Totally.. are you using orange filters to counter the blue? very nice!

Using no filters. The colors are pretty much spot on, just tweaking the contrast and brightness a little in photoshop. I wish I could get some good pictures in the afternoon when the tank is lit very blue. The corals are really bright and show a lot of color. JP

A couple more pictures from today.

geez, save a few of those for the sept auction for me =) I need to find a virtual presence device to bid at July's prop haha.

I will not have frags of all these corals at the PROP auction. Just the first 2 posted on the original thread and 13 others. Some of these might be represented but not sure yet. JP

I knew that the 5DMKIII was good in low light but even at ISO800 I do start to notice just a little bit of noise in my pictures and I don't see any in these so that's pretty awesome. Even more impressive is how well it's handling the white balance in auto considering you're shooting in jpeg, not raw.

You're using the Avast Marine top-down, right? If so, how are you mounting it to shoot in autofocus? I can't autofocus with mine so it gets rather difficult when I can't see the live view on the back of the camera.

Crikey man. I've just spied a herd of camera nerds. Don't get to close. They can place a full grown man in catatonia discussing ISO.

I screw the tabs into the ring that spins to focus on the lens. I didn't realize she had the camera set to JPEG. Lots of bells and whistles on this and I don't really know what I'm doing. I can't see what is going on either since the screen doesn't pivot like my does. Just lucky I guess. Thanks for the compliments. JP

I do the same thing but can tell -- after I get done spending 30 minutes taking pictures while post processing -- when I don't mount it perfectly perpendicular to the end of the portal. I notice slightly blurred images if it's not straight away. Just like if you were to shoot directly through the glass on the aquarium vs. shooting at a slight angle. It's not terrible, but I'm critical.

Your shots above are tack-sharp.
