They change must faster than i'd thought... this is like only 3 days!

Don't look at the dates I posted, but the dates I put in each post, this has occurred over months.

Thanx for showing us, Todd. I have a bf that I have had for about 7 months as well. He eats like a pig and has always had the same coloration as your last few photos, doesn't seem to have changed much in 7 months. I'll try to get some pics as he looks just like yours, but he is very camera shy.

Been a while since I've updated this thread, I took some pictures this weekend of it.

It is still doing great, added Rod's food and an angel formula to its diet. I also moved my flame angel into that tank. They are getting along fine.

So, here are the pictures.

Thanks.

myerst2 -- not really. I have two carpets in that tank, one for 7+ years the other just under a year. In all that time I've only lost a yellow watchman goby, and that was about 5 years ago.

Great thread, thanks for sharing :)

Your blueface looks incredible. I've always wanted to be able to watch the color shift from juvy to adult.

Lucky!

Thanks guys. I am really happy with the way he is changing and being able to see it. Tried this in the past with a Koran angel, but he got to big before he finished changing and I had to sell him before he was done.
I will make sure to keep this updated.

Awesome looking angel, I hope yours does not turn into the coral eater mine did. I got one as an adult, about 5 inches, and put him and a Red Sea Regal Angel in my 280 on the same day. They both acclimated wonderfully and never had a problem out of either Angel for 8 months. Then I purchased a firefish and didn't quarantine it before putting in my main display. Big Mistake, Fungus outbreak and I lost a Naso, Mimic, Blue Eye, and Achilles Tangs along with the Regal Angel. I almost lost the blueface and two other Tangs but they pulled through. These were established fish I had the Naso for 4 years, The Mimic and Achilles for over 18 months and the Regal and Blue Face were the most recent additions.

As if the loss of all those fish wasn't bad enough. I watched as the Blue Face nipped at an SPS colony. Then did it again and 2 days later I didn't have a single piece of coral. Not one little polyp was left. In less than a week I had lost about $2000 worth of livestock. I was eventually able to catch him and traded him to a LFS where at about 8 inches he was to be the main fish in their display tank. He didn't survive a month in their tank and now I am even more depressed becasue if I would have kept him in my tank he would still be alive and beautiful.
