Those clams are making me regret that I only have PC lighting... would you share a bit more about the lighting and filtration on your tank? Did you find those yumas locally?

Beautiful tank. Thank you for sharing.

My tank light consists of 2- 250 watt mh's 10k and 2 super attinic vho's. The over flow is a dual drain. It goes into my refuguim, and it is returned to the tank my a Gen-X external pump.

Lights and Power heads are controlled by a reefkeeper from digital aquatics. I have 2 max jet 1200's and a Seio 820 (when I get a new impeller) I have otw a Litermeter 3 controller that will control my top off, kalk water etc.

I only have 2 fish in it; 1 lawnmower blenny and a target Mandiran goby.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

here is a pitcure of the fuge

man, that's a nice tank. I have a 75 gallon tank full of corals that look nothing like those! (as in mine are all smallish corals that are young). very nice tank. also, you look like you're going slow which is a real aclompishment. i have about 30 corals, 10 or 12 fish, 13 hermit crabs, 3 shrimp, 2 anemones, etc. in 2 months. and i'm saving for a larger tank. how did you go slow!?

Thanks for the compliments.

I learned how to go slow because this is my 7th year doing it. My first tank I tried to stock too fast and lost a bunch of coral and money.

My 75 has been set up for a year and I am already running into growth problems. Poor coral placement on my part w/o thinking these things would ever grow. I am about to invest some more money into some sps and blasto/mircos. that should be fun and bring out some more color in the tank. My mh's have a bad habbit of turning everything brown.

I think this years bulb replacements will be a bit higher on the blue side. Even with the vho's im not getting the color that I want. I guess ill just have to play around with bulbs. This is only my second year with mh's and I went with 10k's the first year.

btw guess the second part of this post is just me thinking out loud... lol

Yeah, I really like my Phoenix bulb. I've thought about trying the 14K Geisemann bulb, but the price is a little too high for an experiment.

edit: My avatar shows my coral-free tank ( :D ) with a brand new, no-burn-in, 250W Phoenix MH, along with 24W Aquablue and 24W Blue+ T5 bulbs, actually, that may be my actinic T5 not the Blue+. Either way, I'm now running the Blue+ and Aquablue T5's and the Phoenix MH.
