Pictures of Wave box and placement

I don't have any pictures but you should be able to find some info at Tunze.com It has to be placed in a rectangular tank, ideally with a centered overflow and it needs to be placed on the tanks end aimed down the length of the tank.

Roger- Will there be a smaller Tunze box out or something similar in the future to the Tunze box? There's only one size right now correct?

I don't think so, it just isn't very feasible given the principle of resonance frequency to make a wave in a small tank, it wouldn't look very natural even if we could do it.

I have a new wave box on my 180g, but I have corner overflows. I have it placed in the front left corner of the tank, but I really don't like the looks of it there. Can I place it in the middle of the smaller side and have it still work properly? Or does it have to be in a corner? BTW this is a 6' X 2' X 2' tank. And the other question is tuning it in, how do I know if the wave is really cresting at a maximum height? It's really tough to see any real difference no matter where I turn the potentiometer.

Thanks.

Whn you have it right you get a wave, before then not much happens. Turn it very slowly, like hair width increments and wait a few seconds. You should get one wave, crest on one side of the tank, trough on the other, expect it will take a couple hours to tune it.

It doesn't need to be in a corner just so long as it is aimed down the length of the tank.

Holy crap, I only spent 15 min on it haha. One more question for you, in this tank I only have the wave machine and my main supply coming from 2 darts mounted below. I've estimated that I'm turning just about 3200gph with my darts and 4 drains. I kicking up a pretty good current with this + the wave box. Do think it would benefit me to get a 6000 w/ controller just to add more flow? This is a mixed tank with a few anemone's, so I'm not sure how much more flow I should add.

Thanks!

I would try it out and see, if everyone looks happy and you don't have big accumulations of detritus I would assume the flow is OK.
