I have uploaded a couple pictures for the January frag event. I will be posting more as the week goes on.


So far there are PPEs, Purple Deaths, Nuclear Greens, Devils Armour, and a tree leather. They can be viewed here:

I wanted to split up the high end paly colonies to bank them in my other tanks and wound up with a couple extra frags. Hopefully they'll do well.

This year I'm trying to bring the best of the best to the auctions, but it all depends on how the corals do. If I see these guys go for $15 or $25 bucks, I probably won't bring them again. If they do well.....I'll start bringing more Limited Edition and tyree corals.

I have tons of extra tank space now, so I don't need to frag anything for quite a while. I like the frag events though. They are uber fun!

I haven't really picked out anything else to bring, but I figure on bringing a few more. If anyone happens to see any corals in past frag event threads on ORCAs site that they'd like me to bring...please let me know.....I'll try to bring it.

Basically, minor club discussion and then the frag event... not sure if there is any auction of donated materials?

I believe there will be a raffle also, but I know that there will not be a presentation. We are urging members to utilize the frag event forum to let others know what is going to be at this event. Maybe in the future we'll do something else frag oriented along with the actual event. This January event will be something of a pilot. We'll see how it goes and adjust if need be.

Yes, there will definately be a raffle at every meeting and a short club intro at the beginning. In fact we have yet again some really cool raffle items that I think people will really like. But after the raffle, we're gonna blast right into the frag event. I hope many people bring frags to bid on. It's been so long since our last real meeting I've got believe many people have lot's of corals to frag.

Folks can look forward to a Frag event in January, April, July and October. We're planning to have a great speaker line up and or presentation/workshop in the other months.

We're really trying to mix things up a little bit in 2008 and add some spice to our routine meetings.
