Has anyone ordered from or visited this place in Seminole
They have some nice stuff on ebay and 99% positive feedback.
They're open by appointment only and have a $100 minimum.

Thanks
Jim

Jim,

You are a new member pushing one store and complaining about another?

Just wondering.

I usually go to FAOIS, but they never have any good zoas and its always crazy in there.

It's like a big pole barn w/ a huge aquarium in it. We've ordered a few time from ebay, gone to buy in person 3 times. Scott, the owner, is a really nice guy. They have some coral (got a really cool red ricordia the last time we were there) including zoas (some really neat blues), and fish, but their biggest thing is snails of a bunch of different kinds, hermits, other crabs, starfish, shrimp, lots of CUC, and generally much cheaper than LFS (although FAIOS, which we thought was very nice, has astreas for .50 when they have a sale).

FAIOS has $0.35 blueleg hermits. That price is hard to beat ANYWHERE!

I've not looked on ebay much but I'll have to check out their CUC prices.

thanks brynkal, I'm always skeptical of new places. I post more on nano reef, but was thinking about joining TBRC. I guess you just have to be carefully about what you say on here...

- FYI 95% of my tank is from FAOIS

Jim,

IMO they suck. I called them 100X and emailed them several times. They kept giving me run arounds and excuses.

I would be interested in seeking what they got (tagging along) if someone else is putting up the $100

But I dont want to have to go to a store and be forced to pay $100 for crap that I dont like or want on a min order requirement

Some seeks really mad

Care to spill the story?

Some people saying they good others say they awful who do we believe

Maybe some Saturday we can get a group together and have a bunch of people go so the $100.00 min can be spread out.

Let's put it this way. If your corals arrive in perfect condition, then it's no problem. If there IS a problem, expect it to take a week or two to get it resolved. There will be 3-4 days between your e-mails and theirs.

They ship zoas in wet paper towels rather than floating. This is the first time I've seen this done, and it's also the first time I've had a problem ordering zoas online. The frags showed up looking smashed. Some had that dead coral smell.

I'm not saying they don't have nice stuff. They just have terrible customer service IMO and I don't care for the way they package their Zoas.

I feel sorry for you Amanda, you seem to have bad luck with almost all the LFS.
Regards,
Doug
