PIF - Nepthia colony

Thanks Brian. I think I'm coming down with the omni-present cold that I've managed to avoid for much of this winter and now that it is officially spring I figured... what the heck. So I won't be making it down tonight but I will keep that in mind for the May meeting!!! I am hoping I'm well enough to go to Underwater Paradise's Anniversary. That way I can catch up on some of the meeting speakers I will miss tonight.

one thing about these things is that they are hard to glue onto a piece of rock after you frag it off. they get slimy and it's almost impossible to glue. i usually let it do it by itself. it'll eventually cling onto some rock. mind ended up clinging onto the back wall.

Like leather corals and mushrooms, these don't like glue at all. You have to hold them to a rock in order for them to attach in their own time. Using two rocks to pin the stem worked for me. Some will use thread and literally suture the thing down.

And it does look really cool under actinic or moon lights.

Sheila. That is an awesome coral. It's much nicer colored in person than in the pic....or ummmm upside down in a coffee cup. LOL
I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's happy! :D

That was a strange transport method but it works well to keep things from getting beaten up in transport.

thanks,
Brian
