Pinched belly

How long without eating before a fish has a pinched belly? My lfs has a fish that we don't see eating but they say he must be eating because he is still fat, they have had him 2 weeks?

What fish? What are they feeding?

Its a regal angel and they are trying everything from clams to liveworms etc etc but they don't have time to stand at the tank all day so feel he is eating when they are not watching. I have a regal already in one of my tanks that eats everything so I'm hopeful but just wasn't sure about the pinched belly timeframe?
