Pinched Mantle? (Or over reacting aquarist?)

Hello all,

I was hoping I could get some advice on our Crocea clam. It's been opening way up when the lights are on (PC 2x96W 10k, 2x96W Actinics about 6" from the clam), and it looks very good. However, the very edge of the mantle "rolls" over fairly often. I have attached three pictures: The first is of the clam open with the lights on. (You can see just the tiniest bit of curl at the mantle on the left; this is about as good as it looks.) The second two are of the clam under actinics when it is a bit less open and the curling is more pronounced. At night with the moonlights it's even worse.

Should this be of concern to me? I want to make sure that I take any action I should take before the clam weakens, but it seems ok for the moment. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Greg

Test Results

Ca: 380
Alkalinity: 95 ppm (5.5 dkH)

(We are working to raise both of those gently)

0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 5 ppm Nitrate, pH 8.2, Temp 79.

I hunted for Pyrams for a few hours last night from just before the lights went off to 2h after. Ii can't see any of them and we have no history of them. (There s a small scratch on the side of the shell in one pic, but it's not a pyram despite the look. It took me a while to convince myself of that though)

Overreacting?

Overreacting?

Here are a few shots of the clam today under the lights. He looks really good with just a hint of a problem in the same spot. I don't know if I should be concerned or not at this point. (I probably wouldn't know a happy clam if it came up and bit me, but I don't want to miss any signs of distress.)
