Pinched mantle?

The one on the left. The other two corceas and a maxima in the tank all look fine. BTW, I know, croceas belong on the rocks. I just haven't had time to place them. The croceas have been in my tank for 2 weeks, the maxima about 3 months. Haven;t had any trouble with any of them, but the one on the left has not been opening all the way for the last few days. Still has a good reaction to light, and the incurent siphon looked healthy when it was opening.

Nothing out of the ordinary in the invert department. The regular assortment of snails, and a handfull of blue leg hermits.

There are a couple of potential clam nippers amongst the fish, including a CBB. I haven't seen anyone near it though, and wouldn't a fish pick at all the clams?

I don't see any pests (pyramid snails, etc, except there is a vermited (I know I butchered that spelling) snail on the shell, up near the mantle. Could that be bothering it?

yes the vermetid snail may be irritating the clam. When fish pick on clams they usually start with one and stay with it until something happens.

Hmm, OK, I'll keep a close eye on the fish over the next couple of days and see what's going on.

Thaks for your help.

I agree with skins although it is probably not the snail. In my experience, clams of certain colors are more prone to being attacked than others (usually your favorite). If it is the CBB you may not have a few days. I would remove any potential nippers ASAP. He looks healthy otherwise. Good luck.
