Pine Cone Leather Coral

My LFS has one and I've never seen anything like it. The search wasn't working and I cant seem to find any pictuers of it online. I have it held for me at the store but can anyone tell me if these are rare, show pictures of the oens thy have... or any info on how they do under halides would be nice.

he is a older pic if one of mine. I think they are also called pineapple leathers too. Live aquaria sells a cool cultured blue/green one that I would like to have myself.

It looks kinda like that. Honestly when I saw it, I thought it was some acro. The tips looked like upside down pine cones (why he said its name) and its stalk was like blue/green and had some green and some purplish polyps. Strange looking thing, maybe I'll buy it and post pics.

Anyother information? I bought it yesturday... its sitting in my tank now but I haven't been home to see if its fully opened up (polyps). Once it is I'll post a picture... it actually looks quite different than Mr Bojangles's

Had a small flood... so I moved things around while my arms were wet... this has only been in my tank for about 30hrs and was just moved before the photo was taken. It hasn't opened up yet but hopefully I can get a good I.D. on it.

Looks very much like Capnella, possible Lemnalia or Paralemnalia. In any case, moderate to bright light, with a moderate current. The are prone to "self-destruct" if damaged or overly stressed, so handle carefully. One of my favorite softies (though Ive never heard it called a Pinecone Leather- interesting name).

I have heard of them be called pinecones myself, but I have not seen any that color. It made me take a new pick of mine closer up. The polyps pulse and wave, I think they are cool! I am gana try to fine some more stuff on them.
