Pineapple Sponge go away!

There is white nasty sponge growing over my live rock. Any way To destroy it?

Just pluck it off if it's bothering you. Their numbers are dependent on the availability of food. If you are a heavy feeder you'll have more. Excellent filter feeders.

Thank you SugarM. I didn't mind them until they started growing over other things. I feed heavily because of the sponges I am trying to grow. I think my good sponges are being out competed. I hope they will be ok if I cut back on feeding?

My tank sounds awesome? It's not. Not to anyone but me. I grow Bryopsis on purpose cause trying to keep a self perpetuating colony of lettuce Nudibranchs. And I've got at least 3 cups sitting in the tanks holding baby coralmorphs until they attach. Plus the new blue sponges are still rubber banded. No, my tank is not picture worthy at all!

If cutting back on food won't work... Maybe a hermit crab of some kind would eat it? I don't know, just an idea...
