This is a shot of my Pink Lemonade a few minutes after gluing and placing in the tank. No polyp extension when the pic was taken and it was probably a bit stressed. Within an hour those beautiful pink polyps popped out and have been out ever since.

I saw that this particular coral just went up on Tyree's site as a new Limited Edition. He does not name it specifically, only Acropora species. So I guess at this point no one really knows exactly which Acropora species it might be. It was an interesting read on Reef Farmers about the Pink Lemonade's history. It seems if you have it you are part of a small crowd. It sure is hairy like a milli and prostrata but the branching growth is definately different. My little lemonade has encrusted an inch and a half around and has definately grown but has yet to throw out any more branches. IMO, a very pretty coral.

How about an updated pic?

It's funny how this coral has gone full circle from Steve's browned-out freebie to his Auctioned Edition List. What an awesome coral.

It's weird how the RF frag morphed into a different color:confused:

I had white polyps on mine for a little while too. I raised my t5's a few more inches and the pink polyps came back. But for the body to turn purpleish is kind of weird...

What I have pictured above came in light green with white polyps and has changed alot since the pic was taken. The base has started to encrust more and it is purple on the new growth but fades to green. The polyps are turning more pink every week.I am going to move it up into more light and see what it does.

rutz81,

Here ya go, taken today. Check out the body color change, my little lemonade is going to the lighter yellow /green body due to placement in the tank.

Karl, You noticed that morph that Steve is auctioning as well huh? I would be a little bummed if mine went that color. I want the green/pink or the yellow/pink morph that it has been for most folks.

Hi Alicia - I'd be pretty bummed, too, if mine did that. I think I've heard before that some of Hugo's pieces have morphed like that in his tank.

I'd like mine to stay green and pink as well, but only the center stump is green, now. All of the new base growth is yellow:(

A. horrida maybe?

That's the closest I could come up with also. I don't really think it is an A. horrida but I can't think of anything else it could be. I guess I'll have to break out the Veron books again. I don't think they will help on this one.

I have mine right next to a Horrida and it does look extremely similar. Skinny long branches. My Horrida is from SPStoner - color is obviously very different but structure looks very similar. Mine has been absolutely abused over the last month - and I mean fallen, covered in SPS killing cyano, etc - but still looks very much like fishypets. I have a limey green, not the deep green that slojmn has. I'm not concerned if I never get that deeper green cuz I love the lighter color with the pink/purple polyps.
