Pink Skunk Spawning

Hi everyone,

I just got two pink skunks about 4 days ago. The female is about 4 - 4.5" (she is gigantic) and the male is about 2" or so. They have been next to eachother ever since i put them in the tank together. The larger one has a small tube hanging from its underside which im assuming is the egg depositor? If so, how long will this last and is there any way to tell how long it will be before she lays eggs?

It took my nigripes clowns 2 weeks after I introduced them into the aquarium to start spawning. Some fish are really picky about any changes in their surrounding, etc. The best advice I was given was to feed them a lot and don't move anything in the tank. If yours are spawning after 4 days thats amazing. Can you share any pictures?

Yeah I'll upload a photo of them. I don't have the best camera and they are hiding behind my live rock but i got a shot so you can at least see them well enough. I didnt realize how much a reef tank would make me want to buy a nice camera.

Yeah its hard to tell from this pic.....could just be the clowns bottom fins I'm seeing.
