Pink Spotted goby with shredded fins??

Sorry for the crappy picture but my gobys tail and top fins and now shredded or torn up...Is this a illness or is it because of my other fish or even rocks? he lives under some live rock and when he finally came out I noticed it.

how big is your setup and what other fish are in there?

its a 45 gal 2 clowns 1 baby hippo tang 1 lunar wrasse 1 yellow damsel... fish only no coral

could it be fin/tail rot?

you have two big guys in a pretty small tank so its very likely that the lunar is beating him up. Have you seen any chasing, pacing, or aggression? It could be rot doesnt look like it to me, did it happen over night?

I don't see any aggression among any of my fish and there right next to my bed so I see them all the time. The goby is usually in his home under a live rock with only his head out and i've had the tank for 7 month now with those fish in it the hippo tang is about 2 2.5 inch's and the wrasse maybe 4.5 inches...and I have lots of swim room and nooks for them to swim through...I feed them 4 times a day and have nori sheet in there for the tang. this is the first time his whole body has been out of his hole and on the glass like that since ive had gotten him 7 month ago

I don't see pacing or beating up and idk if it happened over night either hard to see his body then hes under a rock

hmmm maybe rot but, if it were my guess the lunar's I had start getting a little territorial around 5-6" maybe its some of that. I dont think its rubbing up on the rock. Do you have a QT setup? or a sump?

at the moment I do not the filter on mine took a dump...I have a 40 gal tank with a clown and a long nose butterfly in it right now...Is rot contagious to other fish?...this is the first time ive seen anything like it so idk what to do..should I move im into that tank or try and get my QT up again

It shows how deal with it as well as causes move him to another tank or a sump if you have it. and see how it goes the next couple days.

His front fin looks like rot to me because it has white puss looking ends
