i just bought a pink tip anemone, i placed it in my tank( 55gallon with 260 watt cf light and plenty of water flow) and it was a perfect white then within a week it changed to tan. my water quality looks good, and the anenomes health looks great but is it unhealthy and can i do anything to fix it.

It is the opposite your anemone is getting healthier. The brown pigment is it's zooanthelle regrowning. This is the natural coloration returning, congratulations!

What species of anemone are you talking about. Im assuming a condylactus or possibly a sebae. The tan color is nothing to worry about and means your anemone is regaining its zooxlanthe (however you spell it) algae which it needs in order for long term survival. The anemone feeds off the byproducts of this algae which lives in its tissues. Don't forget to supplement the anemones diet with finely shredded meaty foods like krill or silversides.
