I am putting my pinktail trigger up for sale. He is very healthy and a great eater. I am going to try to clams in the future and dont want to risk him snacking on them. He's always been pretty peaceful with his tank mates. Dont mind the bubbles in the pictures he's in my sump right now. 35.00 OBO for trade for nice sps frags or nice zoanthids I dont currently have. Sorry the pics are soo large.

My Pinktail has never nibbled at clams...and he is huge- and I have lots of clams.

Paul.

Pink tails are for the most part vegetarian.

They become accustomed to eating chopped meaty foods.

I have a fire shrimp, camel and 3 cleaners. He loves to be cleaned.

The only time he will bite anything (besides fingers) is if its is floating in the tank. I had a sick goby once that would flop about in the water. - not for very long once the trigger saw it.

Niger triggers, pink tail, blue throat and crosshatch are vegetarians and are considered reef safe.

Still for sale. 30.00. I want him to go too a good home asap. I hate having him in my sump since he doesn't have much swimming room in there.

Thanks!

Well it doesn't have anything fancy init just lots of liverock and a few easy to keep corals anemone's etc.. we have a old oversized octopus skimmer we have a very old sump filter with bioballs and submersed live rock rubble init 3" sand bed an emperor 400 , extra powerhead and halide lighting.. me and my husband have it for fun and we dont test the water onit. We both work long hours so we dont have alot of extra time. we just change it with walmart brand distilled water 10 gallon 2x a month and we use reef crystals salt. We keep the salt at 1.026 and the tank at 79 deg. and use all seachem or kent marine products that they sell at the local pet stores and we us some form of phosphate remover what ever the pet store we are at has.. its really just a simple setup not like some of the stuff we see you guys have on here! .. we used to goto the reef shop that was on nw 50th and portland thats where we got most of our liverock from. we have moved the tank 2x and its getting pretty old. The front glass face is pretty scratched/pitted up now. we have taken it and down over the years but allways kept our liverock in moving water

That's a nice looking tank, please tell us more.

Paul

It was actualy your post that made my husband say lets give it try.

The pink tail doesnt even seem interested in our clam he loves to

eat those green algae sheets we buy and just normal pellet food!

he even eats around the clam "careful to not and disturb it" so far lol

I think our vlamingi tang is more of an aggressive eater than he is.

the only thing my PT trigger has ever nibbled was a montipora colony, he took a few bites and that was it.

I hope he does well for you,

Paul.
