Pinktail Triggerfish

So my pinktail triggerfish has become quite the opposite and his tail has turned white. Is this a normal thing and can I expect that beautiful pink tail come back?

They are also called whitetail triggers.

Just taking a guess - many fish change colors from juvenile to adulthood...the pink tail could likely be the juvenile coloring.

So the craziest thing is happening or it's just completely normal for this fish, the color is changing almost like on demand. Dug a little deeper into this and found out the Pinktail triggers maintain the pink though there is a white portion of the tail as it drastically then turns pink or in some cases becomes all white.
