was curious if you guys heard of these, someone on equipment forum claims there are pinwheel impellars coming out for otp pump for octopus skimmers to replace the needle wheel impellars, let me know if this is true and if premium aquatics can get them cause i would love to try one out.

Hi Darrick,

We are getting some for the Octopus 2000 pumps, they do not have them ready yet for the 3000 pump yet.

Hi Guys,

Looks like we will get them in 2 weeks.

There will be two versions availble so far.
CV-OCT-PW-IMP-2 $39.95 (this one for the oct. 2000 pumps)

CV-EXT-PW-IMP-S $39.95 (this one for the SICCE pumps)

We'll get these online by tomorrow to preorder if you want.

thanks

is there any info from octopus suppliers on these impellar, like what they should do for skimmer performance.

They are pricey impellers, probably a brand new mold that added to the cost, hopefully in the future the price will drop. I remember EuroReef's first PinWheel impeller was about 100 bucks.

They haven't really gave us any performance comparisions on them, so not sure how much improvement you'll get with the regular needle impeller they used before.

Hi Darrick,

Sorry, Luke was a little behind today and didn't get a chance to get those online. If you are ordering anything else though online, you could just put a note to add that item to your order after we download.

I certainly hope the price is lower the 100.00......

Hi,

They should have one for the 1000, 2000 and 3000 pumps, but not sure when. They just had the 2000 made first.

The 2000, and Sicce pinwheels came in today for those that were interested. Jason normally would have posted, but he was distracted by very tasty cookies when I handed him the invoice. ;)
