Pipe Organ dead?

Bought a large Pipe Organ Fuji coral from divers den and it arrived 4 days ago and it shows no sign of life. I know it's not uncommon for some corals to stay closed for 2 or 3 days but I'm starting to think it's dead.

Anyone think I should wait longer before asking for a refund?

I would definitely wait longer like you said it isn't uncommon and they would likely ask that you wait anyway.

I would give it time, brother had one come in from DD and it took a few days/week to open up. They seem to be pretty delicate, but it'll probably come around (mostly), it might need time to rebuild itself.

Takes time, I have a sea fan colony that I got from a swap, took almost a month to start opening up

Patience appears to be paying off. Some of the heads are starting to appear. One thing I noticed last night after the lights went off were some skinny greenish brown thread looking "worms" (for a lack of a better term) appeared coming out of the skeleton.

I'll do some research but not sure if they are some evasive hitchhikers or if they are normal to the pipe organ after dark. Here is a pic of what the coral looks like now. I know it's a bad picture but you will get the idea how it looks. I just finished stirring up the sandbed and rocks doing some cleaning so the water is not crystal clear. Also, at this time of the day my Radions are putting out a lot of blue light which is not great for taking photos with my iPhone.

Pipes usually take a while to come out. I've had the tube break before and the polyp survive. As with everything, patience and continuity.

Good news, the pipe organ is now opening and is doing well. However, I have a couple greenish/brown thread size "worms" that protrude from the coral at night. I attempted to grab them with some tweezers but they quickly retract back into the coral.

I dipped the coral when I first got it and killed a number of hitchhikers that were on it but it obviously did not kill whatever those things are. Anybody know what they may be and if I should be concerned?
