Pipefish and pods

If I establish a healthy population of pods in a 75 gal will 4 messmate pipes eat all of them?

Yes, likely in short order. They're hard to get to eat.

4 is a lot. You may be able to get away with two, but 1 would be best. Unless you have a fuge that's constantly producing pods, it'll slowly starve to death. I've never seen mine eat anything I add to the tank. I do see it picking on rocks all day though.
