We have a 150 gallon aged reef tank with plenty of copepods, currently we have a mystery, filimented flasher wrasse along with the two dragon face pipefish and have had no problems with compatibility, wanting to add three leopard wrasse are they particularly aggressive towards pipefish or do you think they would be O.K. ? Just wanted to say we have orderd almost all of our fish and corals from you and are always impressed with the quality of your livestock.

CDD,

We do not recommend placing Pipefish into an aquarium housing any type of Wrasse as they can become more territorial and aggressive as they age.

Pipefish tend to react poorly when harassed by other more aggressive fish such as: blennies, larger wrasses, large gobies, triggerfish, and porcupinefish.

When choosing to add other specimen to your aquarium housing the Pipefish special care will need to be taken to target feed them in order to ensure they are being fed adequately.
