So I've been tangling with the idea of putting one of these little guys in my sump, Its about a 30g sump with some pretty low flow sections. Lots of LR and Cheato. If this wasn't feasible how bout plumbing maybe a 20T into the system . I'm afraid of putting him in my display 135 bc of the other inhabitants. Any opinions?

What type of pipefish were you thinking? Low flow isn't necessarily a requirement of pipefish, it really depends on the species. Some come from reef environments, some from seagrass and lagoon type beds. Some, like alligator pipefish, are going to need supplemental daily feeding even in a well established refugium.

It just has two doors covering it now but it can be viewable if i decided to do something with it. I never really though about it, this was a plan I had awhile back that just popped back into my head. I remember looking at jans pipes, but alligators are the only ive seen in the local lfs.
