Pipefish

Anybody keeping pipefish in the reef tank?

I picked one up today for $19. The thing is awesome. It eats mysis and brine. all that good stuff.

That ringed one from Plant reef? It was cool! Mostmarbles has one and lots of other very cool critters but I liked his pipefish best outa all of em

hear there good for those keeping sps coral cause they also eat red bugs, other than that i tried one didn't make it but a month too much water flow in my tank act like it was stressed just swimming around. The dragon face ones i hear are the ones that swim well and do better, than one i tried was a banded pipefish.

I think this is some type of banded. Yea got it at Reef Planet.

Ashley, my girlfriend, almost bought the blue spot jawfish. :lol: I tlked her out of it though.

the fish don't mind it at all. he was swimming all over after the lights went out.

leighton, the red sand hopper is beginning to turn from juvenile to adult I believe. his colors recently started changing. I've come to believe it is a longfin fairy wrasse. when it dances it has this huge fin on top of it.

I was more worried about one surviving and getting enough food with the fish.....I knew they were a little slow and my fish are pigs!

I was going to update how cool this fish is.

He's been just floating around and hanging on rock ledges. Super cool if you can find one that eats.

Looks identical to this though with very fine orange pinstripes.
