Pistol shirmp going to town on my sand bed

I added a YWG pistol pair to my tank 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Other than a few days hes been digging constantly, digging and back filling about 10 tunnels. I came down to the basement to watch the Jays games tonight and they have moved over to my right rock pile now.

My tanks cloudy as you know what!! should I have any concerns about the sand storm hurting my fish. I can see that being good for their gills.

Depending on how long your tanks been setup, and how long it's been since your sandbed has been stirred up, I'd say give them some time to plow away. As your filter pulls the dust out, over time it should be less and less cloudy.

I definitely know when my pistol is plowing around, but the cloudiness that I had in the beginning has drastically reduced.

I wouldn't worry about it harming your other fish as long as it's not causing swings in your parameters from kicking up nasty stuff that been settled under your sand for a long time.

Tanks been setup since end of August. New sand bed, rock from an established tank. When I cleaned my skimmer out last is was kinda muddy along with the regular gunk.

Its not really bothering me other then the cloudiness when he's giving er'.

Oh and it's not thowing off any of my parameters.

My pistol rearranges everything on the sand weekly, I kinda like it, always something new.
