Pistol Shrimp in a bowl?

Hi,

I have a murderous pistol shrimp in by 30g Nano. He has been quarantined in the sump for the past week. I wanted to get the forums opinion on whether this is doable or a crazy idea.

I'm trying to see if it is reasonable to have small bowl with some plants and a rock and have a shrimp bowl. Temperature in the house should be good. I'd have no problem doing weekly or even more often water changes as I almost always have pre-mixed saltwater. No pump could be an issue.

I don't want to condemn a critter to a certain death but he is responsible for all the deaths in my tank in the last year. Anyone got something like this going on? Otherwise I'll have to search for a taker because none of my buddies with a tank want this pistol whipping son-of-a-gun.

Thanks

He's a pistol shrimp and I assumed he just scavanged up his first kill or 2, but I saw him take down another shrimp and a small blenny and that was it for him... into jail

I have a tiger pistol shrimp that I'm pretty certain tore up my orchid dottyback, who survided, and possibly killed a few snails for their shells. I had some of the smaller Gulf pistol shrimps that came on my live rock. I put some into their own tank with some bad crabs, and they did go after the crabs.
