Pistol shrimp lifespan?

I bought a bonded pistol shrimp/goby pair several months ago. The shrimp was almost two inches long at the time, and has molted at least twice since. I have heard they only reach about two inches so should I be worried that I might have a poor widowed goby soon? If one of the pair were to die would it even be feasible to replace it or just leave things be?

The pistol shrimp may live a long time. I have a Randall's pistol shrimp that has been in my tank between 4 and 5 years. It has outlived two gobies and is cuttently living with its third.

I've had mine for 2 and half years. It's outlived both my skunk cleaners, though I suspect that it had something to do with the ones demise.
