Pistol Shrimp

Is it okay to have a pistol shrimp without a goby to host with it?

I have a mandarin now but i doubt he would host with the pistol. All I have in the tank besides that is some snails, hermits, a cleaner shrimp, and clown...any thoughts? I really like this pistol shrimp...

it's fine. It'd be the same as having a clownfish without an anemone host.
