Pitted Stonefish on LA

They are indeed awesome and sitting in cooled tanks. New South Wales water is pretty cold AND they are bottom dwellers in a cold land.... Brrrrrrrr! I hate changing their water.

We do, but we have a few chillers sitting around. Unless you keep your house at 80* or something, I think if you leave the water overnight at room temp, you'll be fine.

Speaking of Erosa erosa...

Our newer specimen:

What's interesting is that below the substrate line, the fish is its normal mottled reddish color.

Careful greg, they will think renee lied.

To clear up any confusion, I got it. Thinking it should be here Tuesday.

Currently no, but will by the time it gets here. Plenty of established rock on hand, just need sand and to fill the tank. Water is being made now and the tank should be running tomorrow. It will be the 55 too, hopefully I find the courage to try a blackfoot or something else too.

So far I did a temp reading and it has stayed at 68° all day with no heater or chiller. Though it is the beginning of winter and I bet I need a chiller come summer time. Tank is about half full and I need to get the sand rinsed and in and the live rock placed.

Maybe. Seems right now it wants to stay at the surface rather then the substrate. Probably stressed and struggling. I have tried to get him down, but don't have a critter keeper to hold it in. Will have by tonight though. Hopefully it hangs in.
