pitted stonefish

awesome looking fish, depending on the size of its mouth (based off of your reports) I might try to get my hands on one if possible!

Then again, I hate clownfish...hate them...there's something for everyone in this hobby.

+1 to that one...

Glad to see it went to one of the few responsible people I could think of that this animal would benefit being in the hands of. Definitely an exception to my opinion. However, lets not make you or Renee the first people to find out what the venom is like, K? You jinx'd yourselves mentioning how in 20 years you've not been stung.

Gorgeous too ;)

It's big. But his tankmate eliminating quality will be his temperature requirements. He's a cool water specimen, his tank right now is 67-68.

So your saying the pitted would work with the blackfoot lion? That would be a cool setup. Possibly two lions and the stone.

I wouldn't go with two blackfoot. That are not sexable and they fight viciously.

We're waiting to see how big the guy actually gets. Our blackfins haven't been very large and the erosa's mouth will be very large.

What are you thinking this is? The fish in your link? If so, I'm sorry, but it's an Erosa erosa, not a sulpin. Yes, it is a cool water fish, no, it doesn't get that big.

No i meant to quote your other post where you talk about the. Water temp being the "tankmate eliminating quality" and needing fish to big to be eaten. I just gave you the link cause that sculpin will get to big to be eaten and says it can be kept in cool water. I was just throwin out an idea for a tank mate but idk how big your tank is. Seems like a cool looking "oddbAll" that would fit right in in a tank with the stoner. (and you cant beat a cool fish for $30) but anyway just a thought
