Pittsbrugh Frag Sawp 4/7/19

We will be hosting a hopefully first annual frag swap on Sunday April 7th at the Washington County fair grounds. We need volunteers to help with the swap the evening before and the day of. If you are interested in helping this be successful and to become an annual thing hit me up. 412-six57-758six

If anybody wants to volunteer to help, please let me know. Also we are looking for Vendors- tables are $100 each plus a $50 donation for the raffle.

I think the sooner we get on reef trader the better because people are looking at Lear and will see our swap and that's our main clientele.

Costs for a "Hobbyist table" is $60 plus a $50 donation to the raffle - hobbyist tables are for 1/2 table space with electric included and is limited to a 30 inch tank. Please contact me with any questions and summit payment for your "hobbyist table" to the club PayPal account = 3RMAStreasurer@gmail.com with a note on what you want your table name ID to read with your payment. Early access setup time for the Hobbyist tables will be at 10 AM. Vendor tables are $100 per table and a $50 donation to the raffle. Setup access for Vendors will be the night before ( time to be determined) or at 8 AM the day of the event. Happy reefing everyone.

At least 5 pages on Reeftrader since I checked yesterday - some very nice frags. We have raffles items donated by Bulk reef, and Marine depot and a grap bag from Neptune. Up to 13-14 vendors ( including an artist, phytoplankon , and a local store) and several hobbyist tables are taken.

Is there a cost to enter the frag swap as a non-member? Can't wait to go! I've upgraded my tank and waiting for this frag swap to fill in the extra space :)

I would like to thank the volunteers that came out and made the swap possible and succesful- without them - this could not have happened. Some of the volunteers were not even hobbyists (spouses, teenagers, adult kids of hobbyists, etc.). I hope everyone had a good time. We had over 300 people come to the swap yesterday and 16 Vendors, several hobbyist sellers, and numerous Reeftraders who all left happy and ready to come back next year. One of the biggest successes of the swap was the club gained several new members. The event also provided an opportunity to increase community awareness of our hobby thru the TV spot ( thank you to Grant from Wild World of Animals) and the possible upcoming article in the Washington county newspaper.
