As you all know, I recently lost my female clown due to a leap. Well, no more. Now any aquarium of mine with fish in it will have a screen top...

Here is the screen I made for my 54g:

I had to make cutouts so that I could easily feed, and also for the plumbing. I have used a solid light diffuser to cover those, and this is easily moved for feeding.

I got the 1/4 mesh from Bulk Reef Supply, and I got the frame, corners (many) and spline from Lowes. The frame/corners aren't meant to turn in the directions I've done, so it took a little modding with a wire cutter to get it right, but in the end it is a great fit! I'm embarrassed tell you this took me a couple of hours to do. :/ Worth it, though!

hah. I flattered, but not in the screen business. Trust me, they fit, but they are anything but perfect.

I'm so confident about my aquarium that I'm finally going to invest in a laboutei wrasse, which I've always wanted. There is no escape from my aquarium, now!:beachbum::mtool:
