pjmiller33's 210 build with fish room addition

Thanks... I will definitely have to check those chillers out on there. I am going with 3 175 watt metal halides and 2 vho super atinic (love vho atinics). I purchsed 14k coralvue bulbs. I will try to put a pic of the light setup on here tonight... as well as complete the painting of the fish room.

You will have to swing by and check it out when you are in the area!

Nice job. I like the fish room. I'm interested to see how your water change system turns out. I'm definitely into low maintenance!

I'm tagging along.

Thanks for the comments Ryan and Michael.

As for the humidity... the tank is direct across from a large HVAC register. I am planning on install a vent in the far left side of the fish room (the is actually the study inside the house, whereas the tank is in the library). I am hoping this will create enough cross flow. If this does not work. I will be installing attic style fans that I will connect to the aquacontroller.

I finished sanding the drywall, so I will be painting the room today and posting pictures of the same. Also I received the new gaskets for the bulkheads, so there is a good possibility I will be putting water in tonight!!!

As for what is going in the tank. I currently have a 75 gallon reef tank that has a good bit of coral in it (a couple different brain corals, goni, several polys, several zoas, some sps, several varieties of mushrooms, lobo, acans, etc.). As for the livestock that will be moving from the 75 to the 210... There is a pair of clown fish, blue hippo tang, chromis, yellow watchman goby, diamond goby, mandarin goby, blue cleaner wrasse, pair blue damsels (going in 40 breeder sump home), sand sifting star, serpent star, 2 emeralds and other cleanup crew.

I am going to wait about a month after the water and sand is set in the 210 before moving everything over.

Sorry I have not updated lately... been really busy at work. I have finished painting the room, completed the electrical, shifted a TON of sand and will attach pics of the same tonight. I should also be able to finish the plumbing tonight. Thanks everyone for being so patient. I started with a bunch of pics and fell behind, but will have more pics tonights when I get home.

Sometimes I think it is good for newer aquarists who read these threads to see that an undertaking like this is a ton of work, not to mention $$$$, and requires a great deal of time. Good on you for keeping your priorities strait and we'll be waiting for those pics!

Thanks KuyaMark and I could not agree more Muttley. It takes a lot of time and a few bucks, but it is always better to take your time and do it right the first time. Pics will be up around 7pm EST.

Sorry I have not updated in a while. Below is a quick pic that I took of the tank tonight. I have completed the setup and went through the 1 month cure. The coral and fish have been in the tank now for 2 weeks and are doing great.

I went with a 3" deep sand bed and setup the return lines off the large external pan world pump in order to create enough flow without the need of powerheads.

I am planning on doing some cleaning in the garage and fish room tomorrow and hopefully with take some more pics and explain the guts of the setup.

What's up with the bullet hole in the front glass? :D

Seriously, looks great. Curious to see how the room turned out as well, still plugging away on mine and need some inspiration.

Hey Sponger.... glad you finally got to see it in person. Work was crazy, but I took the next 2 weeks off. I will take some pics this week of the fish room and post them.
