placement for a deresa clam?

hey everyone, i bought a deresa clam from clamsdirect last week and got it thursday, so far its on my sandbed. is this okay for it? do they do better on sand or rocks? i think it would be about 20 inches from my lighting which is a 250w mh with 2 65w PCs. i keep a maxima and crocea on the top that love it, and have the small maxima on a plug on the sand since i dont have room for for it on my rocks

hes bigger than i thought, i was expecting something 3" but hes really big. i have a maxima that was sold to me as 3 1/4" and the deresa is way bigger

wow, nice defined folds with a crazy mantle. so how big is she really??

bigger than i thought. the details said it was 3 1/8" so i thought it would be similar to my maxima that was around 3 1/4" but it turned out to be bigger.

here's a picture with just actinics on after the main light shut off. the maxima is on a plug infront of the deresa and you can tell its bigger

No I don't have any top down pictures but that is a good idea. I'll have to try and take one.

I have pretty good flow in my 150. I have about 3600 GPH turnover in my tank.
