Placement of clam???

i am wanting to get a clam but don't know where to put it. Will my torches, hammer coral, or mushrooms sting it? should it be in the sand bed or rock? how high up should it be? Thanks for the help any other info will be appreciated.

most clams come are found high on the rocks so that would be the ideal placement for your clam

not sure if the corals you mentioned can sting clams but i would think they can so just play it safe

placement will depend on the species of clam and your lighting, i agree with bboy that you are better safe than sorry with proximity to your corals.
