placement of frogspawn

Hi everybody
Would it be okay to place frogspawn at the upper levels of the rock work. The stock fits into a crevice of the rock very nicely while still allowing the tenticles to flow six inches in each direction. The flow seems to be moderate that it experiences off the return pump plumbing from the sump. the tenticles are swaying in the current and not touching any of the rock. Thanks for the advice.

I would just monitor the polyp extension. If they are fully extended, it's happy. The only other issue that I could imagine would be too much light. Don't know your lighting scheme, but likely it will be fine. :)

Is to much flow a possibility, now that it is starting to open, the tenticles do have quite a bit of flow. They are in constant motionin various directions. It has not completely opened yet but was just added to the tank about 3 1/2 hours ago, maybe half the size or a little less than when I bought it. Thanks

they don't like high flow. I find with mine as long as it keeps in a roughly half-spherical shape(a branching frogspawn) it is happy. If it starts getting visually pushed around by the current it is not as happy

i just bought some branching frogspawn and it's been in the tank for about an hour or so. i placed it about 3/4 of the way up on an overhang. it looks really cool where it is but it hasn't opened up at all yet. i would say it's in moderate flow and i'm running 2x250w pheonix mh and 4x54w t5. is it to high in my tank and/or too much flow???

I usually start all my corals lower in the tank when I get them anyway, just to acclimate them to the new lights (2 x 250W 14000K DE HQI & 2 x 110 03 VHO's). I find that frog spawns like really low flow. Low flow for them means a spot that is alomost a total dead spot. Make sure theyhave room to fully extend and I think it should be fine.
