Placement of green hairy mushrooms????

I just got some green hairy mushrooms last night. I have a 24 gal nanocube with 175 watt MH. I was wondering if anyone knew where I should place these mushrooms in the aquarium. Close to light, halfway or down at bottom...Thanks!!

I would start them at the bottom. The tank is shallow ~12" ? so the MH should be quit bright.

No its at least 18 inches deep. But I have them at the bottom right now....so thats where I will keep them for a bit.

you might want to put them in the shade, my hairy green mushrooms don't really like high light, I run 110watt pc's in a 24 tall tank and they like it in the lower half of the tank. If I have them high up in the tank they don't like to open all the way

It depends on the tank it came from. If it came from the top of a similar tank with similar light, then put it at the top and slowly move it down. If you begin to see the mushroom "cup" you could move it up. But under an MH, odds are its not going to die from lack of light.

Mine are on the bottom of my 90, in the front corner, under 250 MH and actinic VHOs. Growing like weeds.

my green and purple hairy rhodactis are on the buttom.... lighting T5
