Since you live in Chicago, there are a couple of local stores that get a lot of rare and unusual. I've debated ordering online, but the shipping charges and not seeing the fish for myself outweigh any savings.

you'd be surprised what your LFS can get if you ask them

what exactly are you looking for? There are lots of fish in that "rare" category...

Old Town Aquariums in Chicago. I ordered a conspiculatus angel from them a few months ago and had it shipped to me in Florida. The fish was one of the healthiest online specimans I have ever received. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

right now I am looking for another leaf scorpionfish (hopefully a pink, purple, black, or blue color morph)

I actually got rid of him about 2 months ago when I setup my new tank. I wanted to go to a more reef safe setup so I got rid of the Conspic and interruptus angel I had in favor of zoa's and clams. I somewhat regret it but what's done is done.
