Placing corals

I would like to know how do you guys place your SPS corals if all of them require similar flow and lighting.Do you follow any color pattern while placing the corals or just randomly place.I am having a island type rock scape with equal height on top but I am not sure how to place the corals in the correct way to look good even if all the corals have good coloring.

Its like how a pro gardener know execlty knows where to place each plants for a garden to look good if you have not understood my question above.

Thanks,

most of my coral placement is based on my own opinion of how colorful or good a piece looks

better looking corals get prime locations, i try to make a mix of every color available in a section though

IE greens are surrounded by purples and blues, i have a lot of green sps since green and red is the most common when it comes to corals i try to make sure i'm always surrounding my greens and reds with brighter blues and purples to offset and contrast the colors well

Then the second method of placement is wether a coral does better in higher or lower light, if it's color is better up high i move it up, if it's better down low i move it down, always trying to give the coral what it seems to do best with

the third method comes when things start to grow in or touch

At this point i move frags that touch to spots where they have more room for growth, or i break off the tips of these touching corals in hopes that will cause them to shoot up growthwise instead of laying down a base

Ultimately the 3 methods will end with a good combo of different corals and colors around each other and when they all grown in it will look perfect

I just vary colors as much as possible and different types of SPS and no particular grouping. I'd guess my only grouping is three encrusting montis which I have a branching rock which I hope covers the branching rock.

as mentioned above.
also must put thicker branched corals such as humulis in extra high flow and light areas (on the reef crest), basically try to mimic what it does/lives in nature.

+1 with what was already said but also I like to mix the differant shapes or forms the corals with grow into,ie tort, table and stag or long branching types in a nice mix
