Plan for the swap

Hi guys,

I was thinking maybe Jake and I will meet at Bob's house at 9:00 am on the 12th and then we'll drive to Petaluma to pick up Grant and Ken. Check in is at 11:00am - 12:00 am so we should be able to be there on tine or a little early.

The swap starts at 1:00 pm and should be done by 3:30 pm, we head to neptune, do some shopping and should leave the bay area by 5:00pm. I am not sure we will have time for Aquatic Central because we will have to chop and dip the corals (a whole bunch of them) :D .

How does the plan sound? If everyone is in agreement then I'll email Robert from Neptune to let him know we are coming.

Please note: all frags should be in labeled containers, so if you need the labels I'll print some extra.
 
Your proposed plan works for me Tom. I'll expect to see yous guys Saturday the 12th at 9:30ish. I'm all set for labels, thanks.
 
Sounds good guys. I'll get some frags ready. Maybe I can con Ken into printing some labels for me with that p-touch of his??? hint hint ;)
 
Just wanted to say "hi" and that the crew in the shop is looking forward to meet everyone. Have a safe trip and we'll see you all soon.

Robert, you know not to ask me this loaded question right? because I need a lot of things LOL

Ok guys, if you haven't been to the regional frag swap before you are in for a treat. Here is a list of things that you might need beside corals for the swap.

a big styro foam box or ice chest to keep the corals temp stable,
blue/white LED flash light to look at the corals when you do your pick (BAR also privide some flash lights)
small towel for water spill
permanent marker or pen to write with
Money to buy raffle tickets
Some energy drinks and snacks because you will need it :D
I even bring some extra salt water just incase.
Extra corals containers

I'll add more when I remember them ;)

Other than that be prepare to make a bunch of cool new friends

If it was the link to "unacceptable" corals for the swap, I saw that already. Fortunately I don't have any of those. :)
 
Hi WCR...thanks for dropping by the shop today. Hope everyone that attended went home happy with the bounty. It was fantastic meeting you guys.

Tom....Thanks for being patient with us and for taking the lead on the event. Cerissa and I hope we didn't offend anyone by not able to get to everyone. As you can tell, it was kinda crazy around the shop today...=o)

It was great meeting up with you and thank you and Cerissa for the donations, we really appreciated it. We understand it was very busy at the store and all you can do is the best you can. Definitely will see you ate Baymac.
 
Yes, thank you Robert. Sorry to add to the chaos yesterday. I enjoyed seeing your store and all the frags you have. I managed to find a few I had to take some home despite telling myself I wasn't going to buy any frags before I walked in. Nicely done. :D

Tom, thanks for coordinating the visit. It was worth it.

And Bob, thanks for driving. Let me know if I can slide you some gas money. I meant to but my hands were full getting in to my house.

Jake, Grant, good to see you guys. Always a pleasure.

And thanks to BAR for organizing and hosting the event, and for the refractometer calibration fluid.
