Planaria question...

I noticed a planaria worm on my overflow today and what to do next. I have an 80 gallon reef that's been up for almost a year. I feel my issue is too much sand I have around 4" of special grade sand so it's pretty course. I do vacuum it when I water change. All my perameters are in line I'm wondering if I should get some sand out now. Thanks
