planning desktop nano, need input

im planning on getting a desktop nano/pico for work. i would love to get the 3g picotope from JBJ but im afraid an open top just isnt going to be good, between other people around and evaporation. ive seen a few people w/ the 1-2g hex tanks, i was wondering if anyone has or has seen closed top 1-3g tanks that come w/ PC lighting or are easily upgradable from the mostly standard flourecent, preferably w/ filtration and lighting included. i was looking at the eclipse 3 system but it comes with a 9" regular flourecent bulb. any ideas welcome, please help me i need something to help me relax up here

personally I'd just go with one of the aga 5.5g tanks and mod the hood with pc lighting and toss an aquaclear mini on the back. Never tried anything by jbj...have heard way to many horror stories. BTW if your interested I have a 32w pc retro kit available which will easily mount in a stock 5.5 hood...I have put it in a 7g and 10g ...fits and works great.

you could give the Eclipse Hex5 a try. i love it, it doesnt take up alot of room, and its easy to take care of. closed top, good filter, and about 10 mins of TLC with a rotary tool (my little light mod) and youve got yourself a sweet work nano.
