Ok here's what i'm planning.
50 gal tank 20 gal sump/refug with 70lbs live rock and macro algae in sump, protein skimmer 2 powerheads for tank, carbon canister water polish, heaters, fluorescent lighting.

As far as fish to start with i'm thinking blackcap basslet, several chromis, 2 ocellaris clowns to start.

Am I on the right track? Any and all suggestions welcome.
Thanks

Should be Ok in time. I would not add all of the fish at once, Go slow !!! Be very patient. Make sure you understand the nitrogen cycle. read up on live rock curing. Dont see anything about test kits You are going to need them big time.

Most people will recommend metal halide, but I'm a fan of T5. Then again, what do I know, my aquarium is still sitting in the floor waiting on me to be able to afford the rest of the stuff I need. Check www.reefgeek.com for great deals on lighting.

FOWLR = Fish Only With Live Rock, basically a reef except no corals, usually because the lighting will not provide for them.
